Why RTD's TIPTOE Was Needed As Uncomfortable as It Was, It Showed a Mirror on Today’s Society. Aside from watching some programmes on TV like EastEnders, Dr Who, Casualty, Gogglebox (alas, a guilty pleasure of mine), etc., like a great many of us, I watched and was gripped by Tip Toe on Channel 4. Written by the incredibly talented Russell T. Davies, who was responsible for hit programmes such as Queer as Folk, Bob & Rose, and Second Coming, as well as bringing back Dr Who.
