New boundary-pushing Kety Fusco harp single - '2072' out today!

Released ahead of her upcoming performances at the Royal alcohol in London Italian harpist Kety Fusco. She has released her new single 2072, and it's got something of a dark atmosphere about it. A classically trained harpest Katie is no stranger to experimentation on the harp as well as her music. In many ways she's not that far off Nigel Kennedy  When it comes to experimentation via classical instruments

As a song, 2072, isn't that long but it definitely makes something of an impact straight from the go.  For the moment you listen you it here in your jaw a dark and yet somber and haunting musical landscape. What makes this even more haunting is that it's saying melody with no vocal meaning. But everything else is left entirely to the imagination

The irony of the song is that it is in the same sort of musical vein as that of Mike Oldfield and American composer mark snow. Anyone who ever watched the X Files on TV in the 90s will be familiar with his music as he composed the theme tune and this is in a similar meeting of the vein.  If anything, you can imagine the genius of what could happen if Mark and Kety ever got together for a collaboration

Raye - The Thrill Has Gone

The latest single from British singer-songwriter Raye, and has been released from her new album. Thrill Has Gone is about a relationship where the excitement and pleasure have run their course and you question where to go from there. Ironically songs about heartbreak and emotional loss always seem to fair better than love.

Everytime i hear Raye's voice I am instantly reminded of how amazing her voice is! And that she just emits individuality at every moment. Something that I cannot help but notice is how much she's in the same musical vein as the late great Amy Winehouse. The utterly sensational voice carries lots of emotion

Pep & Rash - Rumours

Released back in 2015 by Dutch duo Jesse Van de Ketterji and Rachid El Uarichi who together form Pep and Rash. The song echoes classic house and beats which are equally as addictive to the ear. Even though it was released as a single over 6 years ago it sounds as though it could just as easily have come out 6 months ago. Providing you can get the composition of the music just right you can make something sound completely timeless. The vocals in this song are deep and have a thickening effect on the music.

Never before has there ever been such a near thing of 'it does what it says on the tin' when it comes to the titles. Lyrically, everything is sung from the male perspective and is about a man supposedly lusting for a woman who's rumored to be available and desires nothing more than a cheap fling

Paradis - Toi Et Moi

Made by French duo Simon Mény and Pierre Rousseau who made Paradis. Toi Et Moi was released surprisingly not all that long ago back in 2016. When it comes to France never let it be. And said that they don't know how to make great artists or music. Toi Et Moi is a nod back to classic French house music and dance culture. What's so good about it is the timeless appeal to it. And that if played it again in 5 years’ time it'd still fit the current music trends.

Now when it comes to French songs about love and romance this is where they seem to have nailed it spot on. This is the same country that gave us Daft Punk and Vanessa Paradis, need I say anymore? Toi Et Moi is a soft yet slightly subtle song about a young man who has strong feelings for a young woman. And yet does question the feelings themself
