Chris Cleverley - 80s vibe haunting ballad 'Still Life'

Three Counties based Chris Cleverley brings us this haunting song about a dystopian future caused by human actions. The music in the song is an interesting mixture of past and present with a little bit of futuristic in between the lines. Still life is a single from his fourth album. Chris's voice is soft yet sombre, soothing but haunting at the same time. In regards to the subject matter it has a somewhat eerie feel to it as the song acts as a sort of warning, as though cleverly himself is warning us about the consequences of our actions and inactions

When you listen closely to the lyrics they act as a mirror as they reference several things that have happened over the past few years and as a precursor of things to come unless human interaction is made.

As a post breakup song it is quite a positive one as like with some break up tracks it doesn't go down the usual emotional heartbreak way, but rather the one where are the female knows she can do much better than the guy. As a song it's very pro-female and at the core of his lyrics it tells the woman not to gloat over losing the ex

ALICE SK - pays tribute to all the great women in her life with 'Daisy Jane', out today!

London's singer songwriter Alice SK has returned with her latest single, however this one is more of a personal attributes, and this one is for all the women that have both inspired and meant something to her throughout her life. The music for the the song in this track is reminiscence of traditional 60's rock music in which has that feel in it which, combined with the lyrics, gives it that more in-depth personal feel. One of those songs where it really is coming from the heart. The irony of this is that songs which are about personal things always seem to strike that right chord, you somehow sympathise with the feeling.

Combined with the words, Alice SK, absolutely nails it's without fail. Daisy Jane is an absolute corker of a track in itself
