Adam Humphries, the editor of WhatsOn, has compiled this week’s Christmas special songs. There is something magical about music that can revitalize and cure the soul while also igniting new hope. Here is the weekly music selection for you to enjoy and add to your playlist. The Pogues & Kirsty McColl - Fairytale of New York  Released in 1988 is the ever-infamous Christmas Stewart featuring British singer-songwriter Kirsty McColl and Irish folk punk band The Pogues. The song is the tale of a romance between two lovers whose romance turns sour during which point the song becomes more of a comical argument. The song is as comical as it is entertaining. And years later cause a commotion in the LGBT+ Community with the word 'Faggot'.  The ironic thing is that the word Slut is used yeah no one seems to get all worked up over that one. I'm just going to say here now as a Gay/Autistic man I have no issue with the word faggot being used in the song https://youtu.be/j9jbdgZidu8 Wh

Meet AL, a musical maestro who first arrived on the music scene in Croydon before deciding to take on an even bigger one in the Capital, otherwise known as London. He has been making drumming, songwriting, and helping to create music for others for over a decade now and hasn't slowed down yet. During the Covid pandemic, his ethic may have had to adapt but his drive remained the same. AL has worked with several musicians and singers and will be releasing his latest single, 1998, which is coming out on the 10th of January 2023. Check him out "I began in bands and have always been in bands up until I released my first solo EP this year" Your interest in music happened way before you were a teenager, just what was it about music that got your attention at such an early age? My first memory of music was when we used to visit my gran in Scotland when I was a kid. She was an amazing pianist and I used to sit listening to her play classical music. Then my mum bought me a drum kit

Diana and Co are the leading female Force behind new films coming out over the next two years. Adam spoke to Diana to find out about their latest film; Blood Brothers. The film is the second film to be made by Scoffer Studios, which is groundbreaking as it is an all-female lead production. What makes it an interesting work of art is that practically most of the cast are local actors who came from the area where Blood Brothers was made Also, she talks about what is like working with a female director, Brittany sellers, as well as working with locals and doing artistic collaborations on a very big scale. All in all, we are very proud of what we have created From the images released so far, the project looks like quite an eclectic piece so far, what actually inspired it? We went through a personal trauma in our lives which solidified the need for strong personal relationships, attachments to loved ones, and what is important in life. Our zombie film, although it is a fictional setting it

Earlier this week in the Bahamas, the corrupt cryptocurrency trader was arrested Sam Bankman-Fried, the creator of a significant cryptocurrency exchange who is now accused of scamming investors before his firm crashed last month, donated to President Joe Biden's campaign, but the White House has yet to indicate if Biden will refund those payments. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment on "anything that's connected to political contributions" when asked whether the president would return the donations during a press conference on Tuesday. She cited a federal law that forbids some officials from participating in political activities. Prior to the recent collapse of his cryptocurrency trading business, FTX, Bankman-Fried was a significant supporter of the Democratic Party, giving $52,800 to Biden's 2020 presidential campaign and nearly $40 million to Democratic candidates during the November midterm elections, according to the Federal Ele
